Lifetime warranty

Merida offers a lifetime warranty on manufacturing and material defects on the frame on all bicycles from model year 2015 onwards, with the exception of frames of category 5 bicycles (full-suspension mountain bikes with 140 mm of suspension travel or more). We offer a 2-year warranty on the frame on bicycles in this category. We offer a 5-year warranty on rigid forks made of carbon and aluminium, and a 1-year warranty on paint and stickers.

If you have a problem with your bicycle, visit your local Merida dealer. They will submit a warranty request to us so that we can assess the problem. The dealer is free to charge any costs for labour and/or materials. Inquire about this with your dealer in advance.

Important to know:

The warranty only applies to the first owner of the bicycle and is not transferable.

The warranty will lapse if:
1. The bicycle has been used improperly or carelessly or has been damaged by a traffic accident or fall.
2. The bicycle has been used in competitions (see our crash replacement service for this)
3. The damage is due to normal wear and tear of parts such as tires, chain, cables and brake pads.
4. The bicycle has not been maintained sufficiently, i.e. not as indicated in the supplied instruction booklet.
5. Repairs are carried out unprofessionally or not by a Merida dealer.
6. Non-original parts have been used for repairs or if parts have been incorrectly mounted.
7. The construction has been changed.
8. The bicycle has been used for rental.
9. Rust has formed on painted, chromed and aluminum parts of the bicycle because the bicycle has not been regularly maintained or cleaned.

Please note:

Of course we can only provide a warranty with an original purchase receipt/warranty certificate. So always keep the receipt for your bicycle in a safe place. You can register your bike online after purchase so that the required data is already known to us and the guarantee is 'activated'. Only the first owner is entitled to the guarantee. The guarantee is not transferable!
